Afghan Aid Fashion

This week was hectic, but it all payed its price in the end. Last night we had a styling competition at Porchester Hall in London. The event was held by Afghan Aid, so we had to come up with three Afghan themed looks. Me and my partner Saorla worked our ass off to create something quite modern yet keeping the afghan theme alive. Trust me it was more than difficult, but it was well worth it. Saorla and I won the Competition, which means we got a months internship at Paul Smith and two weeks at the Evening Standard. A special thanks to the technicians at UCA.

My Favorite Things

Today I am at London Fashion Week again. The anticipation is huge and my optimism keeps on longing for more and more. Today I am at the Presentation for Antipodium London, experiencing new designers is refreshing and eye opening. We are situated next to the river Thames inside Somerset House. The location is so regal yet the modern clothes people are wearing seem to contradict each other. Another thing which surprises me is the atmosphere, although people are joyful, there seems to be a somewhat surreal feel to the whole thing. Fashion is about having fun, isnt it?

It has been my first ever Fashion Week, and so far I am really enjoying it. The vibe is amazing and there are so many interesting and creative people around all the time. Talking to people is the best part of it all.
